The alternator was replaced yesterday The service engine light has come on and will not go off As you drive and slow down at the stop signs the engine cuts off like there is no power at all?

I would make sure that the connections are back on tightly. Sounds like a loose connection. Your battery could also be going bad, but usually this would cause problems starting. There should be a ground connection along with a connector at the alternator. Make sure these are tight. Next check that the cables are connected tightly at the battery. I hope this helps you. It sounds like something else is wrong with your engine, since it's the SES light that's on, not the battery light. Get the code read at Autozone/Advanced Auto.
