I have a 95 Honda Civic with that exact problem. In fact the clutch was just replaced with all new parts about two months ago. Is it unsafe to drive? Everything else seems to work just fine. Except there is absolutely no resistance from the pedal until you get down to about 3/4 of the way down you usually would.
There could be a few reasons why a clutch pedal is stiff on a 1999 Accord. The clutch may be low on fluid or the clutch may need to be replaced.
Low of hydraulic fluid. Check the reservoir.
A 1995 Honda Accord clutch pedal switch is located directly under the clutch pedal. This switch stops the car from starting with depressing the clutch. This helps avoid accidents.
any information on 87 Honda accord with the clutch/
you could be low on clutch fluid, air in the lines if a small leak in the lines or your clutch is going bad
How do you install a cluch pedal spring on a 93 honda accord
It's the slave cylinder.
Actually if the fluid is coming down the clutch pedal it is probably your clutch master cylinder going bad or the seal around it. No worries it is a cheap fix. If it is coming down the clutch pedal it has nothing to do with your brakes. Some people well most use brake fluid for the clutch.
Yes you do. The vehicles clutch works by hydrolic pressure. there must be fluid in the lines and reservior so that when you press the clutch pedal it has enough force to separate the pressure plates. Watch for the clutch fluid levels, usually they stay pretty constant, but if it has a leak you will notice the fluid level will be low. KeVin Toronto
