you probably had tissue damage, but the dentist is not At Fault because you had to sign or be made aware of HIPAA, it should go away but call your dentist and see what he recremends good luck and brush brush brush
My jaw was proped open too long and stretched and shoots... it hurt when I opened wide for youabout six months - it did eventually go away.

My advice is if you are unsure get a 2nd opinion, but for gods sakes make sure you do something and don't wait for the pain, because that pain will make you want to die.
