Well, I found information under Marie Curie and her husband Pierre Curie. Marie Curie found radium and in that - radioactivity. Radioactivity are really rays or tiny particles emitted by atoms. They discovered if atoms were in fact emitting such rays, it cannot be indivisible. Atoms are actually made up of smaller particles that can be rearranged. I'd check under this lead. Hope this helps!

The atom contain protons, neutrons and electrons.
Neutrons and protons contain different types of quarks and gluons.
Electrons, this was first proven by J.J Thomson.
the atom is divisible. proven by Marie curie.
1. protons
2. neutrons
3. electrons

the discovery of subatomic particles like protons, electrons and neutrons.
electrons
It is an atom.
J.J.Thomson was a physicist. He is credited with discovery of the electron based on his work with the cathode ray. He essential established the first sub-atomic particle.
The discovery of the electron proved the positive charge of the atom when sending an electric spark across an air gap from one electrode to another, called the photoelectric effect.
The atom is the smallest known particle.
This particle from the atom is the electron.
protons
It is an atom.
is the smallest indivisible particle which can exists on its own eg. an atom of fluorine.
Either an atom or a molecule, depending on the substance.
The atom. Considered by Dalton to be indivisible and indestructible.

No, he theorized that there was a small indivisible particle (he called the "atom" because it means indivisible), but he never did any experiments to prove his theory. Around the same time, Aristotle believed that matter could be divided infinitely. Both were considered speculation until the eighteenth century.

An atom is an indivisible part of all matter.
