The engine is making a ticking noise and when you are driving the car is stuttering but that seems to go when you reach about 60mph have also lost power Any ideas?

It is probably the lifters. I suggest using an engine flush and I have had luck with GUNK. Follow the directions on the can. You may have to do it every 30000 miles . I found that if I put a non Mitsubishi oil filter on my pu would start making that ticking sound

if is a fast(constant) ticking sound which increases in speed as you accelerate then that sound most likely will be your lifters. they're not getting proper lubrication.perhaps you should either check and make sure your oil is not low and or concider using a thicker oil. 10/40.
