It's on the tank itself. You'll have to remove the gas tank to get at the fuel pump.
You only have one battery, it is in the trunk. The jump start posts under the hood on the passenger side are the proper place to hook to.
In the trunk to the far left side under the floor board.
Map Sensor
Call a locksmith who will probably make a key for the trunk to open it, or else pick it open.
In the trunk. Look for a small cut out area of the trunk on the left side.
Look under the Mainfold and it should be a screw on sensor.....it also might be in a black box protected under the manifold its usually in plain sight but consealed by the box. Edit from someone else: I have a BMW 1995 318is with the same engine (if you're in the US). The engine is M42 and was used on '92-'95 318 BMWs. The IAT sensor is integrated into the volume air flow sensor, it is not a separate sensor as on some other cars.
because there's no where else to put it
there is a small yellow button located to the left of the steering wheel and if it doesnt work push down on the trunk and the push the button again it happens all the time with my car
Something else can be on. A interior, trunk, under-hood, glove box light. Also a relay may be stuck. It can also be the battery has a dead cell which will drain it overnight.
I have a 97 Sebring convertible, my trunk will not open, I tried using the key and the remote, is there an emergency release cable anywhere else in the car?
Happened to me to and need a crank sensor also!?
That is the 64 dollar question, isn't it? Truth is that until you actually replace the sensor no one has any way of knowing if something else is contributing to the problem. Replacing the sensor is a good first step.
