I do not know, but I am having the same problems with the removal of my 1994 tracer's stereo
it was the fuse. it is in the glove box it is maked (cluster) 10 amp fuse fixed it all.
A Double Din stereo will fit in a 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. It will take some modification and a new faceplate, but it will work.
There is a short. Shorts blow fuses. The motor may be bad - or need lubrication or a short on the wring leaving the fuse box to where ever it goes. Unplug the more and try a new fuse!
Check your starter, my 87 b2000 was doing that. when i hit the brakes, turn signals, etc the CD player would cut off and back on. it was the starter!
