Well It depends on how you look at it, I would say It's a political stunt because earlier in the 1900's, the public got told the world was getting colder and the Ice age would expand and we would all die If we did'nt do something. Later on that got proven a con, and now they have just swapped it round. It's just this con has not been found out yet but who knows It's just another great question for the world.

∙ 12y agoUnfortunately, yes - global warming has become a political issue. Science has done all it can do to demonstrate that global warming is happening, that it is caused by human activity and that urgent action is needed to slow the process down and stabilise our climate.
However, some politicians have taken heed of business advocates and others, to oppose the measures needed. Thus, although this can result in long-term harm to our environment, global warming has become a political issue.

∙ 11y agoContinued inaction will be disastrous. Actually, all we can hope to do now is delay the consequences--the past 30 years of inaction have pretty well sealed our fate. Still, the longer we delay implementing mitigating measures, the quicker and more severe the impact will be.

About 2.6 million years ago the Earth entered an ice age.
We are still in that ice age, so some warming may or may not be good for us, the jury is still out on that.
