...is always experiencing its day time, and is always fully lit unless it is eclipsed by its planet or another moon.

I don't believe that there are any moons in our solar system that are tidally locked with the sun. In other words, moons do not have faces that are permanently oriented toward the sun.

Why does the moon look different as it orbits around the earth?

The moon looks different as it orbits the earth because different portions of it are lit up by the sun and visible to the earth. Half of the moon is always lit by the sun, and half is always facing earth, and when those two halves overlap it creates the portion visible to us.

What portion of the moon is always illuminated?

Half of the Moon, just like Earth and the other planets, is more or less illuminated all the time. The half that is illuminated is the half that faces the Sun. The illuminated half continually changes as the Moon orbits and revolves. The exception is when the Earth gets between the Moon and the Sun, shading the Moon. (an eclipse).

What amount of the Moon's surface that is aways bright?

What is the antonym of full moon day?

In astronomical terminology, the New Moon is the lunar phase that occurs when the Moon, in its monthly orbital motion around Earth, lies between Earth and the Sun, and is therefore in conjunction with the Sun as seen from Earth. At this time, the illuminated half of the Moon faces directly toward the Sun, and the dark or unilluminated portion of the Moon faces directly toward Earth, so that the Moon is invisible as seen from Earth. [Note: The illuminated half of the moon always faces directly toward the sun, as does the illuminated half of any body orbiting the sun. It's the moon's position relative to both the sun and earth that matters.]

When at new moon the lighted half of the moon faces away or towards the earth?

the lighted half is facing towards the sun not the earth

Is the moon always dark on one side?

No. The Moon is orbiting the Earth, but is illuminated by the Sun. About half of the Moon's total surface is illuminated by the Sun at any one time. As the Moon orbits the Earth, the same side always faces the Earth. The phases of the Moon represent the part of that face that is lighted on that particular day. We cannot see the far side of the Moon, but it will have the remaining part of the illuminated one-half.

When all of the Moon's surface lit up what is happening?

Nothing is happening on the moon when it lights up. The moon is illuminated by the sun, but only the half that faces the sun.
