Blown fuse, defective blower motor resistor pack, blower motor, or blower motor switch. This happened to me and I found a connector at the fan motor had fried. I changed the connector and it worked great.

Answerthere is a relay under the hood of the car located near the battery, i recommend replacing all of them cause usually if one goes out the others will be shortly following. I was wondering if that fixed the problem for you. I own a 1997 Ford Escort. I have had the blower quit on me twice or maybe three times. In those instances, it was because someone had been sitting in the passenger seat and had kicked the wire which caused the old worn out plastic connector to pull out. I just reached down there and plugged it back in. Awesome heater in that car by the way!

I have a 2000 zx2 and it has a thermostat, if that is your question. Having said that, my heater quit working and it turned out to be the cable came loose under the dash on the left side of the radio. At first I thought it was the thermostat but was wrong. Duct taped the cable in place and the control and heater started working fine again.

if you can not find it on the passanger side of under truck behind bumper you will have to go to a ford dealer and order a cord for it they quit putting cords on all the trucks around that time but the heater is in the block on all of them. some dealers did not spec the truck with the winter packege.
