There are several lines that encompass the Earth
Equator - Bisects the earth into the north and south hemispheres. It runs from east to west perpendicular to the axis of the Earth.
Lines of longitude - Longitudinal lines run from pole to pole and allow us to measure from east to west.
Lines of latitude - Latitudinal lines are parallel to the Equator and allow us to measure from north to south.
The Prime Meridian and the 180th Meridian - These two lines are where we bisect the Earth into the east and west hemispheres. The Prime Meridian is at 0° and 180th Meridian is at 180°
Earth spins on a imaginary line called an Axis that's what it rotates on aswell. An axis has an angel for the Earth to spin on. An Equator is another imaginary line.
