Central locking on madza 2 not working
central locking switch on the dash doesn`t work
Usually this is due to a flat battery in the remote (can be replaced by your self or a locksmith) Alternatively it could be the switch in the locking mechanism inside the door in witch it would be easier to have an auto elec or locksmith do the repair
Try changing the fuse
Have you checked the central locking fuse (should be in the car, not engine bay) that would be linked to the immobilizer but if the car starts while the Central locking doesn't then changing the fuse might solve the problem.
Check the fuse that controls central locks; replace if defective.
i have a 1.4 Golf E 2002 plate. but my central locking has never worked or if i even have central locking even though it is stated on the vw site and numerous other sites. mine seems not to be working

it should be in the same spot as the other fuses, but if u have a problem with your central locking you may just need to clean and lube the central locking units to get them working properly. My central locking on my 95 ef station wagon wouldn't work till i cleaned and used a bit of WD40 on the tail gate central locking unit and its been great ever since it should be in the same spot as the other fuses, but if u have a problem with your central locking you may just need to clean and lube the central locking units to get them working properly. The most likely cause is that there was an electrical surge when you jump started the vehicle. More than likely it blew a fuse that controls those two features.
