Pharynx is divided into nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx. Upper most part is called as nasopharynx.
The oropharynx is the space behind the oral cavity and above the laryngopharynx.
The end bit of the esophagus is the stomach. But before the stomach there's the gastroesophageal junction which leads into the stomach. Just above the junction there is the diaphragm (but that isn't attached to the esophagus) .

Lastly the laryngopharynx is below the oropharynx and is a passageway to the esophagus.
