According to The Bible, when initially created, all man and animal life was vegetarian.

(Genesis 1:29-30). After the flood, however, God included meat in our diets, as long as humans ate it without the blood(Genesis 9:3-4) .

Another thought

Paul says in 1Corinthians we are free to eat any meat.

1Co 8:8 Food, however, will not improve our relation with God; we shall not lose anything if we do not eat, nor shall we gain anything if we do eat.

1Co 10:25 You are free to eat anything sold in the meat market, without asking any questions because of your conscience.

1Co 10:26 For, as the scripture says, "The earth and everything in it belong to the Lord."

But if for some reason our eating meat is a stumbling block to others or the meat has been offered to idols then we should not eat it.

1Cor 8:9-13

Pork prohibited in the Bible

The Christian is likely to be convinced by his religious scriptures. The Bible prohibits the consumption of pork, in the book of Leviticus:

"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you".

"Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch, they are unclean to you." [Leviticus 11:7-8]

Pork is also prohibited in the Bible in the book of Deuteronomy:

"And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you. Ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcass." [Deuteronomy 14:8]

A similar prohibition is repeated in the Bible in the book of Isaiah chapter 65 verse 2-5.

Answer: Any Christian is prohibited to eat any part of a pig, if they do they must wash their body within 3 hours. If they don't, then I can assure you there will be consequences.

Pork is not mentioned in the Bible.

The Bible does talk about eating pig meat.

Leviticus 11:7 Do not eat pigs. They must be considered unclean; they have divided hoofs, but do not chew the cud.

Deuteronomy 14:8 Do not eat pigs. They must be considered unclean; they have divided hoofs but do not chew the cud. Do not eat any of these animals or even touch their dead bodies.

The dietary laws God gave to the nation of Israel were just for Israel. The laws were probably primarily sanitary and necessary to the good of the people. They do not apply to non Jews or Christians today.

Pork is just one of the types of meats that are listed as not fit for consumption in the Torah. Any animal that does not both chew its cud and have split hooves is not allowed (Deuteronomy ch.14).
