The difference of the sons of god , in the two testaments are that in the old testament Jesus is the son of god. But in the New Testament we to can be the sons of god . If only we do believe that Jesus died for our sins.
Most were in the new testament or in Jesus' teachings or some might be in the old testament when it talks about the prophets and their teachings.
Two come to my mind. Jesus tells the storm to be still. And the other is in the old testament , when god tells the Jews Be still and know that I am god.
God and Man
No. The Old testament tells us about God, who He is, His attributes, how He works. We learn about the goodness and the severity of God. The wrath of God the love of God God the judge etc. The Ole Testament also tells us about man, who man is and his relationship with God. All the foundations for the New Testament are in the Old, salvation by faith, the promised redeemer etc. A good example is found in the NT when the two disciples are on the road to Emmaus. Jesus teaches them about Himself and His death as the lamb of God. Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. The 'lamb of God' is a good example. It is only by reading and knowing the Old Testament eg the exodus form Egypt, the Jewish sin sacrifices, can you fully understand what John the Baptist meant when he said "Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world."
Trust
The Old Testament tells the history of the nation Israel and God's dealings with them to about 400 B.C. Christians see its complement in the New Testament, which reveals Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.
In Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament, it tells us the God created heaven and earth.
