The imposing of troops only inflamed the situation, finally resulting in revolt.
The British East India Company went into deep financal trouble and couldn't sell it's tea. Parliament put a tax on the tea for the colonies.
I really don't know because Virginia IS a Chesapeake Colony, and there isn't much to go off of in Taylor's book to answer the question. I'm having trouble with this question too :/
