The rising seas are due to neither of the above. Rising seas are caused firstly by the warm oceans expanding, and secondly, by the melting of glaciers and ice caps.
Most areas that were covered with thick continental ice sheets are still rising in elevation, due to what's called 'rebound'.
As the glaciers and icecaps melt they will make the oceans rise and it's all because of global warming. Sea ice is in the water already so its melting will not affect sea levels.
Rising temperaturesMelting glaciers, melting land ice and melting Arctic ice.Rising sea levels.
The rising of the deep cold currents to the ocean surface is called
melting glaciers -> flooding
The rise and fall of the ocean's surface is called the tide. The tide is caused by the gravitational pull of the moon.
Melting of glaciers.

There is proof that the temperature is rising. This includes glaciers melting and more blue-green algae forming in the waters.
Sea levels in southern and eastern England are rising faster than other parts of the world because the land itself is sinking. In contrast sea levels in northern UK will be lower because the land there is still rising. Glaciers there more than 10,000 years ago forced the land down with their great weight of ice. When the ice melted the land slowly began rising again, and it's still rising.
Sea levels are rising because warm water expands, and also from melted glaciers. The earth is becoming hotter because of the extra greenhouse gases. Satellites are measuring reduced radiation from the earth in the infrared wavebands that warm carbon dioxide (meaning that carbon dioxide is trapping the heat rising from the earth).
More extreme weather, heat waves, cold spells, fierce cyclones.Sea levels rising because: Surface waters are warming and so expanding,Glaciers and ice caps are melting.
glaciers are melting,sea level is rising,temps are up
In Hawaii there is an island rising which is technically a volcano, so its hot. I think its called like lanai or something.... i'm not completely sure...
