Jesus plays no role in Judaism. He was just one of many, many young preachers who claimed to be 'maschiach' (literally, this means 'anointed').

He never had a large Jewish following. Rather, he heaed up one of many small sects, there on the fringes of Judaism.

He didn't present any problem for Jews; Jesus TAUGHT basic Judaism. The famous 'love thy neighbour' appears first in the Jewish Torah, long before it was borrowed by Christianity and attributed to Jesus.

The Christian bible wrongly suggests that the Jews 'killed Jesus'. But today, two Popes and countless Christian theologians have acknowledged this charge of 'deicide' was highly unfair, since the ROMANS killed Jesus.

Jesus did not qualify as the Jewish maschiach, as he did not fulfill the 23 Jewish prophecies as detailed in the Tanakh, the original Jewish, Hebrew texts that Jews still read today IN the original Hebrew.

So in conclusion: Jesus is irrelevant to Jews, and to Judaism. Jews regard him much as Christians view Mohammed. In other words, we don't think of him at all. We neither like nor dislike him. The only time his name comes up for us, in fact, is when we are asked by Christians why we don't accept his claims to be the maschiach.

Do Jews like Jesus now?

Jesus plays no role in the life of Jews so we don't like or dislike him. It's a non-issue. Jews feel the same way about Jesus as they do about Buddha: just figure that is important to another faith. The question implies that the problem between the Jesus and the Jews is that the Jews did not like him. This is not the case. The issue between Jews and Jesus is that Jesus did not perform the requirements to be a Messiah and actively violated some aspects of Jewish Law.Individual Jews may like or dislike Jesus, but these are personal opinions and Judaism itself has no position on whether Jesus should be liked or not, only that if he existed, he was a failed Messianic Candidate (like Bar Kochba, Shabbetai Tzvi, and Menachem Mendel Shneersohn). For a historical view, see this page:What_does_Judaism_say_about_Jesus_christ
