it is about the "red death", similar to the black plague in which people start to profusely bleed and die within thirty minutes. Prince Prospero, ignorant of the dangers outside her palace, holds a masquerade. there were many rooms in the palace, all different colors. in one room, there was a clock, with a chime so frightening to the masked people that they stop whatever they are doing because they know they are coming closer to their deaths each time the clock chimes. soon, a masked figure dressed as if he had the Red Death enters, and runs through all the differently colored rooms. Prince Prospero chases him, but upon coming close, he dies. the people of the masquerade uncover the figure and notice that nothing is behind the costume. then, everyone dies of the red death and it prevails, killing the whole kingdom. typical Edgar allan poe story, huh?
