The basic teachings and faith of Catholicism is that one must accept Our Blessed Lord as one's Savior and then walk in His footsteps. These are spelled out in the New Testament and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (which you can get on Amazon.com (see link below). The Old Testament also contains teachings and faith, but in a more veiled and incomplete manner. Our Blessed Lord is the "Word" of God who was in the beginning and through Whom all things were made.
