the fluids that each reservoir uses
There are 3, actually. Brake fluid, power steering fluid, and engine coolant expansion tank.
In a 1999 Lincoln Continental : The car battery is located in the engine compartment , on the drivers side of the engine compartment
On a 2000 Lincoln Town Car : The automatic transmission fluid level dipstick is in the engine compartment , near the firewall , on the right side ( passenger side ) of the engine ( I believe it is " hidden " by the plastic engine cover )
According to the drawing of the engine compartment in the 1999 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide : The automatic transmission fluid dipstick is by the firewall , in the engine compartment , just on the passenger side of the engine in the engine compartment ( it is hidden by the engine cover )
On a 1998 Lincoln Continental : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap . The engine coolant reservoir is in your engine compartment , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment
On a 2000 Lincoln Continental : The engine coolant reservoir is in the engine compartment . It is on the PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT and has a thread on cap on the top of the tank ( which is the pressure cap / radiator cap )
The firewall is the metal wall that divides the passenger compartment from the engine compartment
It has plastic clips.
On a 2000 Lincoln LS : In the FRONT power distribution box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment ( on the passenger side of the engine compartment ) ( relay # 14 is for the PCM power )
This is located under the rad covers, there are two of them plastic covers across the front of the engine compartment. Remove by finessing out.
The ENGINE coolant reservoir is on the drivers side of the engine compartment next to the firewall
