Something isn't timed properly, either the timing chain or the igniton.
Incorrect installation of the chain. It is backfiring because the timing is off. Remove the chain and do it again correctly.
Time for a tune up.
its not your ignition its your crankshaft sensor that's the same problem i had.
Try replacing the sparkplug. I had the same problem, I replaced the sparkplug and made sure the carburetor filter was clean. I also drained the gas tank and replaced it within new 93 octane gas. Hope this helps It should run perfect after that.
the problem is that the starter is inside the engines of northstars, bad design, only good for cadillac service centers, real rip off cost between $2,000 and $3,000 to have replaced.
you still have a problem the light only comes on when it stores a current code
my car starts every now and again, but when it does start it turns off and then it backfires. i dont know if it is the fuel pump or the sparkplugs or both, please help me find the problem.
I had a problem with my 97 deville air ride and the fuse in the trunk labeled RSS was missing so I replaced it and the shocks started working.
yes, study witchcraft, but i warn you, it backfires a lot.
Have your front tires high speed balanced
Not sure about the relationship to the headlights, but I've had the same problem for years. After replacing relays, plugs, wires, distributor cap,.......... with no success I almost gave up. But then, a great mechanic came along and found it was the computer that was bad. $400 later my car runs really well. Good luck.
Sounds like the brushes need to be replaced. Find a shop that can check your regulator, and who can rebuild your generator.
