It flows from Lake Victoria northward to the Mediterranean Sea.
The farthest source of the water of the Nile River is the Ruvyironza River in Burundi. The Ruvyironza River is a tributary of the Kagera River that flows into Lake Victoria and the water leaving Lake Victoria becomes the White Nile River. The Blue Nile River originating in Ethiopia unites with the White Nile River at Khartoum in the Sudan. The combined waters of the White and Blue Nile Rivers, called simply the Nile River, flow from Khartoum to the Mediterranean Sea.
Lake Victoria feeds the White Nile portion of the Nile River. Lake Tana feeds the portion known as the Blue Nile.
The waters continue to flow as the Zambezi river and eventually into the Indian Ocean
The name of the lake is Lake Victoria, the Nile flows towards and into the Mediterranean Sea, and the artificial lake is Lake Nasser.
Generally Lake Victoria is considered to be the source (start) of the Nile. On the northern edge of the lake, water pours over a waterfall, known as Ripon Falls, into a narrow opening which some people believe is the beginning of the River Nile. Ripon Falls may be the starting-point of the river, but the many streams that flow into Lake Victoria could claim to be the true source. Much of Lake Victoria is surrounded by mountains with streams tumbling down into the lake. The largest tributary of Lake Victoria is the Kagera river. The Kagera and its tributary the Ruvubu, with its headwaters in Burundi, is now considered to be the true source of the Nile. It is from here that the Nile is measured as the world's longest river.
Normally a lake does not flow: that is what distinguishes a lake from a stream or river.
The river with its source at the confluence of the Bois de Sioux River and Otter Tail River does flow into to Lake Winnipeg
Into Lake Thun.

There are two main rivers that flow into Lake Eyre itself, and many more that contribute to the vast Lake Eyre basin. The Warburton River is fed by the large Diamantina and Georgina Rivers, while Cooper Creek is also a significant river. In addition, the much smaller Neales River and Macumba River also flow into Lake Eyre. In a most unusual flood occurrence in 2010, the Finke and Todd Rivers in the Northern Territory also contributed to the waters flowing into Lake Eyre.
