No, I would not recommend you do this.
If the injector wires are not broken where the air cleaner sets on top of the Throttle body, then I would replace the ignition module that's in the distributor underneith the dist. cap.
Depends on the chinchilla. Mine never chewed the wires so we just let it out in the house.
Yes they have to be wired correctly. All the injectors do not run at the same time. They only work when needed to supply fuel to a cylinder on the compression stroke.
on tbi engines 2 injectors 2 wires to 1 injector same to other on seqential inj 8 injectors 2 wires each 1wire fused positive feed other goes to ecu is then switched electronically on and off by ecu
If the tip is getting damaged, there is a loose or broken part inside the bell housing. If the wires are getting chewed on, you have a rodent problem.
You might check the controller for the fuel injectors sometimes they can go hey wire you can use a multimeter and check it to see if it's firing in the correct order and if it's not you might need to replace it. Give that a try also check for shorts in the wires from the injector connector from the injector all the way back to the controller. Hope that helps. :)
Those are the wires that relay the information from the ECM / Engine control module to the fuel injectors so they will deliver fuel to the engine as needed.
timming is off bad plugs & wires bad injectors
Ck your injectors, may have one failing
I believe the computer controls the grounds, not the positive. Therefore the injectors are"live"when the key is on,but don't fire till the computer grounds them.
Fuel injectors or coil
the injectors are not getting an "impulse" from the ecm telling them to open. did the ecm get wet? if not check for bare/chaffed wires in the engine compartment that run to the injectors. one or more of these wires could have a bare spot on them and when they got wet, the wires could have "shorted out" and will not send the impulse signal to the injectors from the ecm.
