There are 2 LDS churches per block in Utah?

In some places, yes, but not on every block in the whole state! There are so many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) in Utah that there are 5,000 congregations in the state! Since there isn't nearly enough land to hold that many church buildings, most church buildings in Utah house 3 or 4 congregations of about 300-400 members each. The congregations share the building by meeting at different times. Most of the time, one congregation will be in Sunday School while another congregation is using the sanctuary/chapel for their main worship service.
