There are many ways to get cholesterol, and people who seriously need to avoid cholesterol sometimes have a hard time because so many prepared foods have some of the items below used in their preparation.

The easiest way to think about cholesterol is that it only comes from animal products. Fruits and vegetables never have cholesterol. So basically, anything that comes directly or indirectly from an animal will have cholesterol. Any kind of meat or meat products...eggs...milk...cheese...anything made with milk...egg products...butter.....If you stop and think about it the list can grow quite long!
