God is a word and this word has a different meaning to different people. the concept of the supernatural god as described in religions goes against the grain of most people that have a scientific foundation in their education. or to put it quite simply there is no way to actually prove that this type of god exists. An other way to look at god is to see God as the whole. that is everything including your self, when you see God this way you can prove God exists to your self but are still faced with the problem of just what is the nature of God and what is my role in God. Either way we are all severely limited in our understanding and are most likely not equipped to be able to deal with the proof if it was in front of us. God is the ultimate violation of Occam's razor, arguably the founding principle of science (if one uses The Bible's definition of God):
1. Occam's razor states that the likelihood of an explanation for a given question being true depends on the number of assumptions necessary to make the explanation possible.
2. As the number of assumptions necessary to justify an explanation increase, the probability of that explanation decreases, and as the number of assumptions approaches infinity, the probability of that explanation being trueapproaches zero.
3. Invoking an omnipotent, omniscient, and perfectly benevolent being as the answer to any given question requires that God possess an infinite number of "super powers" by definition (he can do whatever he wants source=Bible).
4. Each of the "super powers" represents an assumption because there is no evidence for "super powers."
5. Therefore, since the God explanation requires an infinite number of assumptions, the probability of the God explanation being true is zero.

If there was no ocean, there would be no waves. If there was no God, there would be no you and me. What is the proof of gold? The gold ring, the gold necklace, the gold bangle. If there was no gold there would be no necklace, ring and bangle. These are effects, gold is the cause. The Divine is the cause, we are just effects. We need no more proof that we are manifestations of God

Is agnosticism a religion?
