They always say no animals in the house How can you convince your parents to get you a cat?

Owning a cat or any pet is a big responsibilty and can cost thousands of pounds to keep during its lifetime (cats can live for 20 years), not only with food but veterinary treatment including neutering and vaccinations. Unless you are prepared to pay for this yourself, you cannot expect your parents to get a cat that they don't want. If you like animals, you could volunteer to help out at your local animal rescue shelter. That way you can make a big difference to the lives of lots of unwanted cats without costing your parents a fortune and making them do something they don't want to do. When you get older and have your own house and money to pay for them, you can have as many cats as you like!

∙ 13y agoParents generally say 'no' to having pets because of the cost expense, and even when you say "I'll feed and walk him, and clean up after him", the parents still wind up doing all of the work for you.
Or they just don't think you're responsible enough for one yet.
