As far as political parties were concerned no, as America had not been formed yet so there was in fact no Republicans. In fact the Republican Party would not have a candidate until Abraham Lincoln won the election of 1860 as the first Republican President. If you consider the ideological form of the word republican, meaning someone who supports a republican form of government as opposed to a monarchy, then yes she was a republican. In short she was a republican not a Republican.
