As the lamps are identical, and all three draw a current of 6 A, then each lamp must be drawing 2 A. So, with one of the lamps disconnected, the current drawn from the supply will reduce to 4 A.

Three identical resistors each 45 ohms are connected in parallel across a 60-V battery The current through or drawn from the battery is?

If 3 identical 45-ohm resistors are connected in parallel, the net effective resistance of the bunch ...and the load seen by the battery ... is 15 ohms. The current supplied by the battery is60/15 = 4 Amperes.(This assumes that the battery is capable of supplying 4 amps at 60 volts, or 240 watts !)

Three identical bulbs are connected in series labeled A B and C to a battery which bulb is the brightest?

If three identical bulbs are connected in parallel to a battery, all three bulbs would have equal brightness.Kirchoff's voltage law states that the signed sum of the voltage drops around a series circuit is zero. A consequence of this is that, in a parallel circuit, the voltage across each parallel element is the same. There are effectively 6 series circuits in this example - battery and A - battery and B - battery and C - A and B - A and C - and B and C. These six combinations are also parallel circuits, and they are also in parallel with each other.

Three identical bulbs are connected in parallel across a 12-V battery If one of the bulbs were removed from its socket then the potential difference measured across the empty socket would be?

12V. Every resistor in a parallel circuit shares the same voltage. It is the current that gets divided.

When a resistor is connected in parallel what happens to the size of current form the battery?

When a resistor is added the current goes down, that is expressed in the equation current= voltage/ resistance

If a 9 volt and a 12 volt battery are connected in parallel what is there voltage?

The voltage is unknown, because it depends on the impedance of each battery. Certainly, damage is going to be done, because there will be excessive current.

Can current increased from two battery connections?

Two batteries can supply more current than one if they are connected in parallel.

A 9.0 volt battery is connected to a 4.0-ohm and 5.0-ohm resistor What is the current in the circuit?

If a 9.0 volt battery is connected to a 4.0-ohm and 5.0-ohm resistor connected in series, the current in the circuit is 1.0 amperes. If a 9.0 volt battery is connected to a 4.0-ohm and 5.0-ohm resistor connected in parallel, the current in the circuit is 0.5 amperes.

In which case will there be more current in each of three lamps- if they are connected to the same battery in series or in parallel?

more current will be in case of parallel because in series combination resistence is greater with respect to parallel combination

When two identical cells are connected either in series or parallel across a 2 ohm resistor they send the same current through it calculate the internal resistance of each cell?

as the given cells have the same current flowing in through them (current flowing through the cells connected in series is equal to the current flowing when connected in parallel ) equate the formula's of cells connected in series and cells connected in parallel.thus by equating we get the value of the internal resistor as 2 ohms.

How many paths can electricity take in a parallel circuites have a battery and three light bulbs?

If each lamp is connected in parallel, then there are three 'paths' that draw current from the supply.

Three 15 ohm resistors are connected in parallel to a 30 volt battery What is the current through each branch of the circuit?
