About 2 hours if you have all the tools. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Make it a little easier and remove the air box ( goes from the air cleaner across the engine. Then remove the Belt. Most of them have three bolts. One is in the back and is a 13MM all I can say is you have to feel for it. IT is low at about the 5 oclock position looking from the front. Next take out the one in the front that is also a 13MM. Then Grab a 15MM and get the big bolt that goes thru from the back at around the 10 oclock. As you take this bolt out hold on. and you can turn the alternator so you can get the main wire ( 1/2" ) unbolted. also unplug the red wire from the alternator. The wiggle it up and out of the car. Then just reverse the process and your done. Really not a big deal at all.

Using a 15mm socket, remove the bolt from the front and side plus a nut on the side/rear (use deep socket or wrench). Remove the single wire bolted to the back of the alternator and unplug the wire harness and the whole thing should be ready to remove. Installation is simply the reverse. With the right tools, it only takes 10-15 minutes.

Then remove front passenger tire, then remove strut and hub, then remove cv axle undo two mounting bolts from bottom, once this is done access to three mounting bracket bolts. to remove mounting bracket then slide alternator btwn frame and engine and replace, have fun this takes avg 4-5 hours! i found out that if you take out the oil filter u can get to the bolts with easy access. it beats taking of the drive shaft. once the bracket is off you can take it out from the top. it would be easier if you unbolt the tension assembly. it took me about 2 hours to do all this and put back together. $20 extra bucks for the oil beats the extra hours i would have to put into working on the car. have fun :) OOOOOOOORRRRRRRRR,,,,,,,, It is possible to remove it from the top of the engine. I know this becasue i just accomplished this in under 3 hours. Start to finish with a coffee break in between.
