80,000 Miles or 6 years to be safe. I think it is 90,000 recommended. The rubber that the belt is made of wears with age. I did mine on a 02 a4 v6 at 80,000 miles.
Yes Audi A4 timing belt replacement 1.8T 3.0L V6 timing belt yes. 3.2L v6 no timing belt it has timing chains on back of engine.

It has belt.
The A4 1.8 engine has a timing belt. The service interval is 75,000 miles.
If you go to the dealer you should expect to pay $1200 or more.
behind timing belt very$$$$$
Depending on your specific year, make & model, it may vary. A 2000 Audi Quattro A4 with a 1.8 should replace timing belt and timing belt tensioner at 100,000 miles. It should be checked earlier if your vehicle is subject to severe treatment.
The thermostat is located on the passenger side of the engine, behind the timing belt.
80.thousands miles
Unfortunately I fell victim to a "bad timing belt" in my 98 Audi A4. I guess the belt becomes worn and breaks. It ultimately causes the whole engine to run out of sync, leading to damaged cylinder heads and most other parts. Luckily I had all of my service records so Audi payed for all the new engine parts. If you got a letter in the mail from Audi then go get your timing belt checked ASAP. Unfortunately I fell victim to a "bad timing belt" in my 98 Audi A4. I guess the belt becomes worn and breaks. It is on the front of the engine under the timing cover. First step is to remove the front bumber and put the lock carrier in the service position.
You mean belt- every 65-75K miles, along with the tensioner, thermostat, coolant, rollers, and serpentine belt.
