Look at the inside and top of the plastic timing cover that goes over the top of the engine where spark plugs are. (This is the backside if you have the face of timing belt exposed). There should be two notches on the underside of the top of plastic cover. Line up the raised line on each cam with each notch on plastic cover. And for the crankshaft mark, look behind the harmonic balancer, there are teeth showing thru on a gear, and on the backside of two teeth are little notches. Line up the valley between the two notches with a raised line (very small) just above that gear, on the face of engine. All marks should line up at the same time. It helps to color the raised lines with pink colored chalk. It makes it stand out. Good luck.
