Factory recommended pressure is printed in two places. In your owners manual and on a sticker attached to the drivers side doorsill.
Some drivers choose to increase those pressures slightly to change handling characteristics or reduce rolling resistance (increase fuel mileage) but don't go overboard. Never run a pressure higher than what's on the sidewall of the tire (maximum cold pressure). Which reminds me, always air up tires when they're cold. Essentially don't drive more than five miles at speeds above 35 mph. Tires heat up while rolling which expands air inside and throws readings off.

the regulator is in the gas tank

You can find it under the battery.

When I had this problem with my 1999 Toyota Solara, the issue ended up being a faulty oil pressure sender unit. The 2001 Toyota Camry uses the same engine (and very likely the same sending unit) as the 1999 Toyota Solara.
Should be four.
It comes in handy knowing the amount of transmission fluid a car will hold. The 1999 Toyota Solara will need 5 quarts of Dexron III fluid.

The 1999 Toyota does not have rear struts. The automobile has rear shocks. Remove the retaining bolts from each end of the shock. Reverse the process to install the new shock.
