Digital cameras usually come with software for installation on your computer. A cable is also usually included, so that you can connect your camera to a computer port, such as USB. When connected, the software program should open automatically. You should then have access to options for transferring your pictures to your computer.
Some pictures are recorded onto a removable digital card inside the camera. If you have a card reader, insert the card. Determine what drive is assigned to the card reader, then go to that drive on your computer and open it. You'll see a list of the pictures that are on the card. Save them to your computer as you would any file: drag them to the desired folder, use cut and paste, etc.

∙ 14y agoEither plug your camera into a USB/Firewire port on your computer using the supplied cable, or remove its memory card and use a memory card reader to access it.
You can then either copy the files manually by navigating to the card in your native file browser and copying the files to another folder on your computer, or use software such as Picasa (http://picasa.Google.com/ ) to organise the photos for you.
