The socket size for the trunk tail light on a 2001 Buick LeSabre is 7mm. Bulbs can be purchased at most local automotive repair stores.

is it in the rear spoiler? Thru the trunk, light socket is right below rear window

I think the light assembly screws out from the inside of the trunk.

Should have an access panel inside trunk

Open the trunk, there should be some long and short screws with nuts on them right above your head. If you have a deep well socket (recommended), you just have to take the nuts off. Then slowly lower the trunk making sure the light assembly stays on the car. Take it off and you should have access to all the lights.

You must remove the entire tailight panel - remove trunk liner and the recessed nuts.

Trunk light switch is part of the trunk light socket assembly...

I believe that one is accessed thru the trunk; lift the carpet out of the way and you should be able to remove the assembly.

There is a switch by the trunk lid and sounds like it needs replacing.

94 Buick Lesabre replaced battery and alternator and the alternator is not charging the battery. Battery light is on and off. Is this fusable link. If so where is it located

Immidiately to the left of the steering wheel, below the traction control switch/twilight sentinel/interior light dimmer controls. Note that the trunk button can be disabled by a switch in the glove box or another switch in the trunk on the locking mechanism itself.

Hey Phill=the front ones can be gotten to from the rear of the light assy and on some of the cars you can get to the rear ones in the trunk. GoodluckJoe

Get inside the trunk and look up where the speakers are located. In the middle, there will be a plate held on by two screws. Remove the screws and plate and you will have access to the bulb.

I believe on that model you can access the signals by lifting up the trunk carpet and then unscrewing the plastic wing nuts. The light assembly can then be removed for easy access to the bulbs.

The price varies for a new tail light depending on where you shop for a 1998 Buick LeSabre. The new tail light can range from $33.00-$99.00.

Get a code read out from your engine computer and it will tell you what is wrong.

Open the trunk, locate and remove the defective bulb from the socket assembly in the tail light assembly. Replace the bulb with a new one, and lock into socket. Close trunk.

From inside thr trunk remove two plastic covers that are for cargo nets. They screw off. The black plastic inside piece will now come off (width of trunk. You will see nuts on the studs that the black plastic covers were on these will release the light assembly which pulls out from the outside.

You access the light bulbs through the trunk. Move the trunk liner aside by turning the round black holders so the line in the middle is horizontal. Carefully pop them off. You will see 6 plastic round wingnut fasteners. Unscrew these and the light assembly will put straight out from the car. Change the bulb (s) and replace.

To change the third brake light on a ford Five Hundred you first have to open the trunk. To access the bulb for the third brake light look under the housing below the light (from inside the trunk). There is a wire harness that runs into a socket. Twist the socket a quarter turn and the bulb and socket come out. Replace bulb and reinsert socket into the hole the quarter turn the socket to lock it back into place. Done!

You have to remove the entire light/license frame assembly from the rear of the trunk lid. Open the trunk lid and you will see the 6 nuts that need to be removed through the cutouts on the inner side. You will need a deep 10MM socket. When the nuts have been removed, carefully lower the trunk lid and pull the entire rear panel of the lid straight out. The tag lamp sockets twist to remove. Pull the burned out bulb(s) straight out. Replacement and reassembly is the reverse of the above. Hint: Buy the long life bulbs you see in the store or you will be dissassembling your trunk lid several times a year. My '02 LeSabre was eating bulbs until I finally got smart and bought the better ones.

First it's best to have an extra pair of hands to help you. You have to open the trunk first. Then look at what would be the back side of the whole light assembly. There are approx. 8-10 nuts that are attached to the bolts/posts of the rear light assembly. Remove the nuts, lower the trunk lid to about waist high and carefully pull the assembly straight out. Watch that you don't scratch your paint with the posts. Have your helper hold the assembly while you remove the light socket for the bulb you want to replace by turning socket counter clockwise about a quarter turn and pulling straight out. Replace bulb and reverse process

If the taillights needing replacement are not the turn-signals or brake lights: Open the trunk. There seven 10mm nuts that need to be open, 3-(left),1-(center), 3-(right). You will ned a deep 10mm socket. then pull entire section on trunk lid forward enough to get your hand behind. Twist appropriate light socket and remove. Replace bulb and reverse your steps. This is also covered in the owner's manual.

From the inside of the trunk..... You have to remove the inside to get to the bolts.... The there you go......
