There is problem in communication between your car's Power Control Module (PCM) and Body Control Module (BCM). The problem could be contained to the anti-theft system, or the line between the PCM and BCM has gone open. In a worst case scenario, you will have to rplace one of the computers.
It is possible that the fuel line in the 1997 Buick Skylark is bad. Getting a tune-up or changing the fuel filter may resolve this problem.

Most auto glass companies can probably get that for you, but if they can't you might need to start contacting wrecking yards.
Try changeing the fuel filter,I had the same problem and it helped.
I took it to a shop. It was the crankshaft position sensor.

My 2003 Buick Century also did that today and I couldn't start my car. Apparently the key for the ignition has been damaged somehow and won't let the car start. Try using your extra key to see if that helps.
start under the dashboard and start getting everything out of the inside and then disconnect all the hosesand it should pop right out

it sounds like a steady bearing on the drive train or pssibly your tourque converter is going bad
