Working out twice a day is very beneficial towards achieving your goal, just as long as you work out in short sessions (ie. 25-30 mins) AND split the sessions by AT LEAST 6 hours. After working out, especially for long periods of time, the body will release cortisol which is a hormone that stores fat. So don't over do it! Again, keep the sessions short and at least 6 hours apart. On doing it this way, you'll see amazing results. Also, keep in mind that as you work out your metabolosm will increase, and so your hunger will increase as well. So it is important that you eat healthy foods to avoid weight gain. Definately don't starve yourself though, or your body will not have any energy to excersise. Just eat healthy.
