Is it martially marked, or a civilian sold gun? What is the graded condition?
Bert H.
It is civilian sold in very good condition and is a take down model.
Winchester 1897 pump riot shotgun ser# 296799 what year made?
100-400 USD
The value of your 1897 shotgun which was made in 1914,could only be determined if you supply a more descriptive explanation of your shotgun including marking found on the shotgun, its stock, barrel length, amount of original finish remaining on the wood and metal,if there is a heat shield over the forward end of the barrel etc. These shotguns can be worth quite a bit,and it may benefit you to have it appraised by a member of the Winchester collectors assoc.
The trench gun was a Winchester model 1897 pump action shotgun. A riot gun is or is modeled on a military M79 40mm grenade launcher. They are designed to fire nonlethal rounds, typically beanbags or riot control gas canisters (CS or teargas).
If your Savage model 720 riot shotgun has between 60%-80% of its original finish remaining, then it will be valued at between 600-925 dollars.
In reference to what application?
Impossible to answer without the serial number.
Assuming a standard model with 90-95% original finish (unless you you have a short barreled riot gun, which is unlikely), it should retail for $155-$165.
Thousands of these were manufactured during the time span of 1930-1960.I would say that a model 12 riot shotgun that is chambered in 20ga.and if it is all original as it came from the factory could easily bring between 400-800 dollars.By Modified are you reffering to the choke of the barrel,or are you saying that your model 12 shotgun was modified in some way?If so then the value will be diminished some because of the modification.275-400 dollars.
You need a professional appraisal
leave off the 19 on the serial number as this is my 1957 manufactured model 12 riot
DeLends on the condition and if u are pawning it or auctioning it is worth more if it still fires
