ok i have 5 Victoria red penny stamps i looked all over the web eBay,Google, wiki and could only find one i have one that in the top left corner is k right top corner a bottem left corner a and right bottem corner k

From what i understand the letters in the corners have no bearing without the plate number (written in the side margin of the stamp)........the letters signify the position on the plate which they are from....AA, AB, AC for the first row & continuing in each horizontal row with the next letter in the alphabet B, C , D etc.....

the value of a stamp will depend which plate its from (because different plates were used a different amount of times.....the lower the issue from a certain plate then the rarer it is).

also some collectors try to replicate whole plates with stamps from that plate.....if you've got one somebody needs to finish their plate, then they may be willing to pay handsomely for it...

What is the speciel link between Queen Victoria and postage stamps?

Queen Victoria was the reigning Monarch of the British Empire when postage stamps were first introduced, and her profile was the first image to be used on British postage stamps. This was controversial because some thought the act of licking the back of the stamp was like licking the monarch herself, a very inappropriate thing to do. The "Penny Black" is considered the first ever postage stamp. It was introduced by the British for entirely internal use in 1840. It was called the "Penny Black" because it was black and it cost one penny. The only design was Queen Victoria's head. Other denominations (and colours) were introduced once the idea caught on internationally. The portrait of Queen Victoria was taken from a medal by William Wyon, as adapted in a sketch by Henry Corbould. It was engraved by Frederick Heath and recess-printed by Perkins Bacon & Co.

What was a Victorian postage stamp called?

Your question is a little confusing. During Queen Victoria's reign her likeness fronted many stamps. You might call this the "Victorian" era concerning postage history. You may be referring to the Penny Black and the Penny Red, the first and second stamps issued by Great Britain.

What is the value of a Scottish Penny Red Stamp 1927?

No such stamp was issued in 1927. If you mean a Queen Victoria penny red, then the value is subject to debate because the cancel mark would be incorrect for the stamp. The Penny Red was issued in the 1850s and by 1927 was long out of circulation. There are so many variations of the Penny Red, it's pretty hard to value. I've seen some go for hundreds of dollars and others a couple of dollars. No independent Scottish stamps were officially issued in 1927.
