Just wanted to ask if anyone knows the valve clearance specs. For a 91 civic hatchback DX model. Thank you.
Straight out of the original 1978 Manual: Intake Valve Clearance - Cold: 0.18mm or 0.007" Intake Valve Clearance - Hot: 0.20mm or 0.008" Exhaust Valve Clearance - Cold: 0.30mm or 0.012" Exhaust Valve Clearance - Hot: 0.33mm or 0.013" The manual states these specs are not the same for the 2T-G motor, only the 2T-C
Yes
.0002in or .05mm intake and exhaust
Also,do you adjust them warm or cold?
inlet 6 though, outlet 8 though
.006 on intake, .008 on exhaust
0.004 clearance both valves both sides
Hot adjustment on the 1.3 engine is .009-.011 clearance on the Intakes, and .010-.012 clearance on the Exhaust valves
0.15 MM or 0.006 IN, intake and exhaust both the same
torque wrench Not with a torque wrench ! Obtain your proper specs (clearance and sequence at TDC for each corresponding valve) set the valves using the specs obtained and the proper thickness gauge .Tighten each rocker to valve clearance until you have a slight drag on your gauge between the rocker and valve.
The valve clearance for this bike is .002" or .05 mm for the intake and exhaust valves. Some people prefer .003" for the exhaust valve.
you can go to kawasaki.com and click on my kawasaki and you should be able to get all specs needed
