Cambelts should be changed every 4 years or 40,000 miles whichever is sooner. It's a relatively staight-forward job, and certainly not worth waiting til it snaps and destroys all your valves (very pricey engine re-build!)

More information needed,there could be a power steering belt and a alternator belt .Both of these would need removing to get access to the cambelt,which takes a lot of space to describe.Suggest check similar queries and if no help,repost question with more info on what you wish to do.

Mercedes is real good about putting that info in the owner's manual. I have a 2007 CLS 550 coupe and all that info is available in the manual(s).
