Take it 2 a repair shop idiot
Could be a loose cable (connection on the back of the speedometer). In today's electronics on cars it's best to take it to a mechanic who knows what they are doing for the repair. You might want to save the money, but if you mess something else up trying to fix the one thing it might cost you even more.
Is it a 12 valve engine or 24 valve? What do you mean by speedometer sensor? Do you mean Vehicle speed sensor? If so why do you want to change that?
Whenever you want. ;)
First, make sure the vehicle has the right size tires. Look on the door plate or in the glove box to find the size recommendations. If the tires are sized correctly, the speedometer cable gear can be changed to affect the speedometer displayed speed. Remove the cable where it enters the transmission tailshaft, count the number of teeth and get a different size gear depending on whether you want the speedometer to display faster or slower. If the speedometer is showing slower than you are actually travelling, get fewer teeth on a replacment gear. If the speedometer is showing faster than you are actually travelling get a gear with MORE teeth on the replacment gear.
A guage/ auto electric or speedometer shop can recalibrate the speedometer to adjust for bigger or smaller tire size. Why do you want to know that?
Against Federal law to do so Can't be done, unless you want to keep the truck parked the rest of your life.. The speedometer is electronically driven off an impulse sensor from the transmission to the computer.. If you unplug the harness from the transmission, the engine will not run correctly.. Emission controls are linked into engine rpm, temperature and vehicle speed. The days of fooling the vehicle are over.
You might want to replace your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) Check this out: http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl022i.htm
:) In changing tyres of the car
check your religion
He doesn't want to lose her. They should seek marriage counselling.
Obviously get more fuel for the tank. You want to turn the ignition on but without turning the car over. When you do this listen for a whirring at the back of the vehicle . Verifying pump operation. Rinse and repeat 3-5 times . Then turn the motor over and start vehicle. If the vehicle does not start , continue to prime with the ignition and try again to start
being that it is a new vehicle the best advise at this time is to have the vehicle scan for trouble codes.(you don't want to void your waranty by messing with it)
