did you make sure you put wires in the right order
Is it running rough? I am wiling to bet you need to replace the plugs/wires. The roughness you experience is the sparking or arching with old plugs/wires. They cost about $45. Use a light coating of bulb grease on the ends of the the new wires, and replace them in the right order.
At 35mph it runs rough. Also when idling it will quit running, sometimes. Does that sound like I need new spark plugs? How many miles are new plugs & wires good for?
its broken. Have your spark plugs and wires checked. It sounds like you have one or more spark plugs that are not firing or are firing poorly. This may be the result of faulty wires or fouled plugs. You probably need new plugs and maybe new wires.
Need a whole lot more info like year, make and model.
You should check to make sure that the electric fan is working.
Don't even bother if you don't have at least 100,000 mile on the plugs. If you do unsnap the wires you must get new ones, don't try to run the old. the plugs are expensive and the wires more so. Plug leads should last 3 or 4 times as long as plugs. They do not always abide by the rules, however. If you are running wonky and new plugs doesn't fix it, try new leads, it often works. If it does, put the old plugs back in with the new leads. I bet you will have a spare set of fresh plugs for another day.
Possibly in need a new spark plugs... I had a Honda that did this, and new plugs,it was running like new....
