WHY DO YOU Feel that you are stationary while travel on a train or bus?

It's just that the acceleration/decceleration is not noticable. If your bus driver floored it, you would feel being thrown back although in a bus/train it wouldn't really work. The nerves in your body, such as the bottom of your feet, can detect the pressure as you stand or walk. The nerves in your Inner Ear also detect the fluid as it moves when you turn your head or when you move it. These inputs to your brain bascially detect changes in acceleration (or change in direction of movement). IF a plane or bus or car that is traveling at a constant velocity, then you will not feel any change in movement. Only when the car takes a sharp turn will you feel pressure against you. Also think about this: Sit real still or lay on the floor. You don't feel movement---right? BUT you are moving. The earth is spinning and it is flying around the Sun. Do you feel that? No. Why? Because the movement is a constant force so you don't DETECT it. Only when you are exposed to Acceleration or changes in direction of movement.
