warming up (including stretching) before an intense activity reduces the chance of pulling or even tearing muscles. This does not usually prevent from being sore afterwards or the next day though. you should stretch and warm up before the activity and stretch alot after the activity, and especially stretch what feels the most sore to you.

What is the impact of global warming on the lake?

it has a chance of flooding in the next 50 years according to recent research on global warming.

How many years before the earth gets destroyed from global warming?

The earth will never be destroyed by global warming. Life on earth might be destroyed, if we don't make serious efforts to stop global warming. Venus has temperatures of over 460C (860F) with an atmosphere full of carbon dioxide. The planet still exists, but there is no chance of life.

Do you need to warm up your forearms before exercising them?

Of course! Warming up the muscles makes them more flexible and elastic and this lowers the chance of the muscle getting injured, increases blood flow, and eliminates the muscles imbalance before the workout.

Is there a chance the the world will be too hot that no man can live or survive because of global warming?

probably

Does global warming explain freak weather?

The connection between freak weather and global warming. Freak weather has always happened by chance. However if the number of freak weather events continues to increase, it seems probable that the increase is caused by global warming.

How can storms be affected by global warming?

Because of global warming the temprature of the earths atmosphere increases and due to which ice on the glaciers is melting and sea level rises .the chance of coming stroms increases.

Has global warming ended?

No, it's just beginning. We still have a chance to stop the worst effects, but we have to act now.

What does it mean to find the expected value of a chance activity with numerical outcomes?

I think it means to find the theoretical probability of something random that has results that are numbers. For instance, rolling a die and trying to get a 6 is a "chance activity with numerical outcomes".

What is the chance of reducing global warming?

The future is looking grim. Many people think we have left it too late to do much about global warming. Very few countries have made serious attempts to reduce their emissions.

How big or small is there of the amount of chance in life?

The probabilistic chance of living in the modern age is about 70 percent given the level of terrorism in the world today, HIV epidemic, nuclear activities, and global warming.

Is there any rational chance emission reductions can forestall global warming?

Global warming is coming - whether we stop 'greenhouse gas' emissions or not ! We're still coming out of the last ice-age - therefore temperatures are going to continue to rise.

Might Global Warming be the cause of more tornadoes?

*If you don't want an explanation skip to end of this paragraph. Basically global warming is considered an overall warming trend in the mean average global temperature. Tornadoes are caused by the interaction of dry cool air in the mid levels, and warm moist air in the low levels, causing a very unstable situation. This unstable atmosphere allows for long lived and very large severe thunderstorm complexes. The larger and more violent the thunderstorm complex the greater the chance is for the occurrence of tornadoes. Now you would think that warming temperatures would cause a greater occurrence of severe weather due to a warmer moister layer in the low levels but the dynamics of it is dependent on the temperature/density gradient between the mid levels and the low levels, a warming atmosphere tends to warm the mid levels just as much as the low levels so your temperature gradient stays the same but warm air holds more moisture so your density gradient decreases. This increases the chance of thunderstorms, but decreases your chance of severe thunderstorms. *A warming atmosphere reduces the chance of tornadoes. This simplifies the scenario somewhat. Global warming will have different impacts in different parts of the world. The result is that some areas may see a decrease in tornado activity while others see an increase. There is some evidence, for example, that the area of peak tornado activity in the United States is slowly shifting northward.
