Abraham did destroy his father's idols though. his father put him in charge of caring for the idols, and Abraham tried to discourage people from bringing them offerings. then he destroyed all the idols and put the axe in the biggest idol's hand. when his father returned home, he was very angry and asked what had happened. Abraham then told his father the biggest idol had destroyed all the others. his father was outraged. "they are stone he screamed "they can not move!" "if that is so" Abraham replied "how can you worship it?"
