Julius Caesar was man and therefore not God. However this view is only from our perspective, some 2000 years after Caesar's death. In his own time Julius Caesar was considered a god with temples and shrines dedicated to him. So in his own time he was a god, but in our time he was a man.

When did Julius Caesar name the planet Mercury?

because the god mercury was fast and since the planet mercury was fast the name was perfect. The name of the god Mercury was the Roman name for the Greek god Hermes. It is doubtful if Julius Caesar named the planet as it had been called either Hermes or Mercury for hundreds of years before Caesar.

What suggested by the quote render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's?

First of all there is more to that quote. It is render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's.....In it's entirety, it suggests the separation of Church and State. However, today we sometimes use the first part of the quote in a sarcastic sense, such as having to pay our income taxes or having to do a chore that we were ordered to do.First of all there is more to that quote. Which god or goddess is related to the month of July?

AnswerWhile some of the months were named after ancient gods, July never was. The month was originally Quintilis (the fifth month, effectively 'Quintember' or the like), but this was changed to Julius - July - in honour of Julius Caesar. Since Julius Caesar was recognised as a Divus (god who had been a human) after his death, we could say that Julius Caesar is the god after whom July was named.
