Yes, as seen in Judges ch.6. Gideon's other name, Jerubaal, means to contend against the baal (against idolatry). Like all loyal Israelites, he was a servant of God.

The early Hebrews were polytheistic and we can tell from Gideon's birth name, Jerubbaal, that he was also faithful to the god Baal.
The author of Judges, a devotee of Yahweh as the God of Israel, would not write the story of the hero who had been chosen to drive out the Midianite menace when his name, which means 'may Baal contend', says that he was a follower of Baal. Hence, the author devised the name Gideon ('hewer'), which clearly refers to him cutting down the grove of asherahs, to use only in Judges 6-8 and nowhere else in The Bible. Elsewhere, his actual name, Jerubbaal, was used.

Yes, and of course, God was faithful to him.
Answer Those are two different stories. Gideon and the 300 - Gideon trusts in the Lord to deliver victory. He was a man that God called while hiding from his enemy. He learned to trust God and not numbers of men. Samson was called to a Nazrene vow not to cut his hair. God showed favor to him when he remained faithful to his vow and gave him strength of many men. Samson took his eyes off God and in a time of weakness he failed. However, he repented and God forgave him.

You can stay faithful in God by praying, going to church, and being a good person. That way, you will find God in your heart and therefore you will put your trust in him. You should be able to stay faithful in God, if you believe in yourself too.
She was faithful to her husband Zephrus, god of the west wind.
In the Bible, Gideon put a fleece before God as a sign of confirmation. He asked God to make the fleece wet with dew while the ground remained dry, and then to make the ground wet with dew while the fleece remained dry, to confirm his calling to lead the Israelites against their enemies.
By: Atony427 Gideon is best known for being an average man chosen by God to do great things. As the story goes, he was working in a well when an angel of the Lord appeared to him. The angel told him that God had chosen him to fight a large army so that Israel may be saved. Gideon was hesitant and asked God to confirm this to him on two different occasions by giving him two clear signs. God gave him the signs and Gideon then obeyed God. God equipped him with an army of 300 men. This was a very small army, but since God was with them, they prevailed easily. Hope this helps. God Bless.
It means God will do what he promised
Gideon was a judge in Israel who was called by God to lead his people in battle against the Midianites. Gideon initially doubted that he was the chosen one, but after signs and miracles from God, he gathered an army and defeated the Midianites with only 300 men by using unconventional tactics. Gideon's story is one of faith, obedience, and victory through God's power.
