No, Goering was never President of Germany. He was however Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe, President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Prussia and Hitler's designated successor.

But towards the end of the war Hitler started blaming Germany's losses on Goering and eventually had him arrested. Not long afterward he was captured by the Allies and tried for conspiracy to wage war, crimes against peace, war crimes and crimes against humanity. He was scheduled to be executed after the Nuremberg trials, but he committed suicide two hours before he was to be hanged in 1946.
